Editor’s Note: According to reliable sources, the Somali government has so far spent over $600 Million Foreign Aid Intended for the poor people of Somalia, on U.S. lobbying firms, to Sabotage Somaliland’s Impending U.S. Recognition:

The Representative, Of The State Of The Republic Of Somaliland to The United States: Mrs.Muna fidhin

(picured above) wrote the following to debunk Aljazee’s story, (without fact checking its sources) endorsing Somalia’s baseless claims that Somaliland was making secret deals with U.S. and Israel to settle Palestinian refugee displaced in the ruthless Gaza massacres of innocent civilians in Somaliland, allegedly in exchange for recognition. Here is the Open Letter that Ambassador Muna Fidhin wrote critical of Aljazee irresponsible journalism:

To Al Jazeera and the International Community:

: “Somaliland categorically rejects the misleading and false report published by Al Jazeera regarding the government’s position on Gaza residents and diplomatic affairs. As a prominent international news outlet, Al Jazeera is obligated to uphold the highest standards of journalistic integrity, truth, and fairness. However, by distorting the words of Somaliland’s foreign Minister, Mr. AbdiRahman Dahir Aden, your network has misrepresented our official position and spread harmful misinformation.

Somaliland’s pursuit of international r-recognition is firmly rooted in our unique history, The state of Somaliland is sovereignty de jure independent country based on 26th of June 1960 and its seeking for Re-recognition is its legal rightful to be a Sovereignty state like every country in the world enjoys. We do not engage in foreign conflicts unrelated to our national interests, and no amount of fabricated reporting will alter our determined path toward international recognition and sovereignty.

Al Jazeera’s false narratives do not change Somaliland’s position in any way. As a respected global news platform, your responsibility is to report accurately and avoid manipulation that distorts the truth for external agendas. Misleading your audience damages your credibility and undermines the integrity of international journalism.

We call on Al Jazeera to cease spreading false reports about Somaliland. If your network intends to report on our nation, it must do so with honesty, accuracy, and respect for our sovereignty. Any attempts to misrepresent Somaliland’s position or undermine our government’s decisions will not be tolerated. Somaliland remains open to engagement with any nation or institution that respects our independence and is willing to engage on

fair and equal terms. However, we will not tolerate interference from media outlets that engage in deception.

Sincerely, we don’t spread Propaganda”
